*Pork Dumplings: Moo Shu Pork

Thirty frozen dumplings made by our crew.

"Moo Shu" in our name comes from a Shandong dish called "Moo Shu Pork". In the 1960s, this dish started appearing in Chinese restaurants across North America by way of early Chinese immigrants. Chinese cooking was a means of survival. Since then, Chinese American food has become its own regional cuisine, combining dishes from East, West, North, and Southern China on a menu and adjusting them for local produce and palate. Moo Shu Pork can be counted as one of this cuisine's iconic dishes, even recognized by Disney in the movie Mulan.

In this dumpling use classic ingredients of a Moo Shu Pork stir-fry. You'll find pork, bamboo shoots, daylilies, wood-ear mushrooms, and scallions wrapped up neatly in a dumpling. We proudly use pork from pigs raised on a local regenerative farm (Arc Acres) which has that naturally sweet flavour of pasture-raised pork.
