Tang Zhong Milk Bread is the fluffy base dough used in Cantonese bakery favourites like the pineapple bun. To make the ice cream, we caramelize milk sugars in buttermilk for a rich baked flavour and add bread yeast to make it taste like bread. As toasty and comforting as a fresh bun in the morning or bread pudding at night, this ice cream is so versatile, consider it the Moo Shu "vanilla".
